My sister and I went to see Pauly Shore perform live so I did these tie-dye nails for the occasion. I think they were very fitting for The Weasel. AaaOooOOooHHhhhOOOooOo!! And here he is the best picture I got of him. He is drinking from a fish bowl he pulled off an audience members table. Tools Used:

I went into Ulta on Saturday to pick up another bottle of Seche Vite and walked out with 7 different polishes and $53 less in my wallet. With my fancy new colors in tow (and my first Zoyas!), I sat at home and tried to come up with a design that would use as many of them as possible. I've tried the butterfly wings before (many moons ago) with disasterous results and thought that this would be the perfect time to try again now that I have new brushes and...oh boy did these turn out great! The colors all blended together extremely well, they are super shiny and shimmery and my line work has improved immensely! I want to try my other polishes, but I plan on wearing this mani for as long as possible - soooo pretty! Tools Used:

Black and white acrylic paint *And just because I couldn't stop this scene from playing in my head whilst painting this mani... No one ever suspects.....The Butterfly!! I was trying to come up with an idea for my nails the other night and all I could think about were flowers, so I threw these bad boys together. I wanted to add a bit of sparkle to these as well, but I didn't want it to over-power the flowers, so I painted on the sparkle layer BEFORE I did the flowers. Polishes Used:
Blue - Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear #420 Pacific Blue Sparkle - Sally Hansen Diamond Strength #120 Diamonds White, yellow, lilac, brown acrylic paint Sorry it's been a while since I've posted, but I've been a bit busy and lazy. So, this was actually part of a Game-Night set I did for a friend's birthday party, but sadly the rest of the game themed nails chipped too badly before I could get a picture of them. But at least my favorite survived! In case you're curious, the other games represented were backgammon, Sorry!, Twister, and chess. Polishes Used:
Silver - Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear #220 Celeb City Lime green, red, black acrylic paint Let me start off by saying that this is NOT an Easter mani. This mani was inspired by a fabulous and extremely talented "remix artist", Nick Bertke (aka POGO). This design is based off his logo, which will be clear when you see it. And yes, I'm forcing you to go to his website to see it because I think it will be an enlightening experience for you :) I first learned of POGO when a friend of mine stumbled across his Harry Potter remix video on Youtube and I haven't looked back. His songs are phenomenal and his videos are breathtaking. I urge you all to visit his website POGOMIX.NET and watch all his videos - there are even more posted on his Youtube page. I will put a couple of my favorites at the bottom of this post for your viewing pleasure. Fun Fact: The "highlight" of my POGO fandom was when my sister and I drove 5.5 hours to Milwaukee to see him perform live. Once we reached the venue, we were informed by the surly bouncer that he had been deported from the USA the day before and isn't allowed back in the country for 10 years thanks to a glitch in his paperwork. That was a very sad day, but it now gives me an excuse to travel out of the country again. My friend Kim loves the Starry Night painting, and pretty much anything else by Van Gogh. So today, she gave me creative freedom over her nails, and I decided to put a tribute to her favorite painting on her nails. I figured it was fitting. It was a bit tricky o get the tiny brush stroke effect, but I found that using a toothpick and acrylics to create the swirls worked the best. Side Note: Please excuse the lack of clean-up around the nails. Tools Used:

I just finished reading book 4 in the series and I couldn't help myself. I LOVE how these turned out! So crisp, clean, and frankly, awesome. I freehanded everything and I am incredibly impressed how my skills at painting with my non-dominant hand have improved so much. You can't quite see it in the pictures, but the black base color actually has a hint of yellow sparkle in it, which I thought would make a good "spacey" color and to finish off the space look, I added some little white stars as well. In the words of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation, "Share and enjoy!" I'm not going to explain how to do these nails in detail, because I think it's pretty obvious to get from the picture.
